About Primal Idea
Filling the Idea Gap
Ideas are the lifeblood of business. Ideas are important to gain a competitive advantage, increase operational efficiency, or improve company culture. However, there is an idea gap, as most companies do not invest in brainstorming.
Out goal at Primal Idea is to fill the idea gap.
To fill this gap, we have an expertise with both Inspiration and Ideation. There is a symbiotic relationship between them. Inspiration provokes a team to think different and ideation is leading a brainstorming session to generate actionable ideas.
Empathy is one of the keys we use to unlock a team’s imagination. Empathy is about pinpointing human desires that will inspire your team to think different and designing opportunities from a customer’s perspective. Below are two methods we use to pinpoint desires.
Uncover Hidden Social Desires
Desires are hidden within today’s social conversations. We uncover these desires by mining social conversations through a method called Digital Ethnography. Think of Digital Ethnography like social listening on steroids. It is one-part social listening tool, one-part consumer psychology, and one-part category knowledge.
The goal of this method is to pinpoint customer desires. These desires are used in a wide range of brainstorming sessions from product innovation, creating brand experiences, and increasing brand relevance.
Unlock the Power of Shopper DNA
Retail empathy is about uncovering core motivations driving shopper decisions. By marketing to these different motivations, you not only increase relevancy, but you also will increase your market share. This is the premise behind Primal Shopper.
Inspired by Myers-Briggs, Primal Shopper is the discovery of innate motivations guiding our shopping decisions. Think of these motivations like our Shopper DNA. This DNA is predictable and persistent across brands and product categories.
Leading Teams to Next Level Ideas
Brainstorming leadership is what we do.
We are a group of experienced brainstorming facilitators who lead sessions. We also train people to lead their own sessions through our approach called Brainstorming with Da Vinci.
Brainstorming with Da Vinci combines best practices with different methods artist, writers, actors, and musicians used to a create masterpiece or give a memorable performance. We drew inspiration from a wide array of creative celebrities including Leonardo Da Vinci, E.L. James, Daniel Day-Lewis, and Eric Clapton to name a few.
The result is an entertaining approach to lead next level brainstorming and generate actionable ideas.
